Good show last night in Amsterdam, not blown away though. John was wearing a black hat during the entire show... and he looked so skinny!!
Great band, 2 hours of great music, no stories, no jokes, just music.
"Alone in the dark" was a nice surprise!
From the latest disc they played "The open road", "Wonder of love" (great song!), "Like a freight train" and "My baby". Rest of the setlist was pretty much standard:
Perfectly good guitar
Your dad did
Alone in the dark
The tikibar is open
Master of disaster
Drive South
Cry love
Tennessee plates
Real fine love
Thing called love
Slow turning
Riding with the King
encore:
Have a little faith in me
Memphis in the meantime
One minus: No backing vocals! _________________ ... there's a bitter sweet perfume... |

I agree with you about the lack of backing vocals. In Malmö there was some on one song (can't remember which one though ) |
